This Year’s Best Sports Bras

Looking like a runner doesn’t mean dressing how you think a runner should dress—it’s finding the right apparel for your body that allows you the most freedom and comfort to run. One of the biggest hang-ups in women’s apparel: sports bras! That’s why we spent hours on the roads and trails running in more than 100 products to bring you the 2018 Women’s Running Bra and Bottom Awards. We are giving you a starting point for finding your next favorite piece of running apparel so you can hit the road with confidence and style.

Oiselle Hi Ten Bra, $48

Best for: Small to medium chests

Looking for a sports bra you can wear out and about and then hit the ground running (literally)? Add this versatile bra to your shopping cart. Thicker straps and support without constriction were a couple of the features our testers loved—it even became one tester’s new LBB (little black bra) to wear from a workout to under a T-shirt for the day.

Old Navy Medium Support Strappy Sports Bra, $23

Best for: Smaller busts, women looking for no padding

Perfect for smaller busts, this no-frills bra holds in “the girls” without any padding. With a price tag you can’t beat, our testers loved how supportive it felt without being too tight or constrictive. Another bonus? The multiple crisscross straps on the back add an element of style.

Nike Indy Breathe, $45

Best for: Petite busts

With its flattering cut and breathable, “barely there”–feeling material, our testers loved the comfort this bra provided. This bra is perfect for women with smaller chests who are looking for a stylish bra with minimal padding.

Under Armour Mid Crossback, $35

Best for: Smaller busts, looking for little to no padding

The price is right for this versatile sports bra. Our testers loved the soft material and comfortable, snug fit. Although it comes with padded cups, they can be taken out if you don’t prefer additional padding. Under Armour’s special HeatGear fabric helps you stay cool and feels silky smooth against your skin.

Reebok Running Essentials High Impact Bra, $40

Best for: Small- to medium-sized busts, looking for a secure fit

If you’re in need of a high-impact sports bra that delivers, this bra was made for you. Although the straps aren’t adjustable, our testers felt the bra fit them perfectly and most importantly, held the “goods” in place while on the run. Moisture-wicking fabric helps you stay cool while pounding the pavement.

Shefit Ultimate Sports Bra, $64

Best for: Larger chests, looking for extra support

“Wow, a zipper?!” was one tester’s initial reaction when trying this bra out for the first time. Recommended for ladies with a larger bust, this bra provides major support and stability along with customizable shoulder and back straps. We love that the sizes range from an A cup all the way to “Luxe” sizes, which include G cups.

Lululemon Enlite Bra, $98

Best for: Larger busts, looking for maximum support without underwire

This bra means business!” One tester was thrilled with how much support and comfort this bra delivered without any underwire. The bonded back makes for a seamless design, and you can forget having to worry about an unflattering “back bulge” situation.

Brooks JustRight Racer, $48

Best for: Small to full busts, looking for support with or without padding

Wear this for a run or during your next cross-training activity—our testers loved the enhanced support and cool feel of this medium-impact bra. Not only was it supportive for larger cup sizes, but it also didn’t dig into our testers’ shoulders (we’ll take one in each color, please!).
