How much time can I take off from running without losing my fitness?
Most people will experience a noticeable loss of fitness after two weeks of no running, though it really depends on how long you have been running and at what intensity. If you have been engaging in other challenging exercise during your time off from running and you have regularly worked out such that your heart rate stays high, you may be able to extend your fitness a few more weeks.
