Several NCAA Division 1 teams have the potential to unseat University of New Mexico during the 2018 cross-country season.
Last year, Wonder Woman got her own DC movie revamp—and now she’s getting her very own race series. SON Events, LLC announced this week that the DC Wonder Woman Run Series will launch this fall in partnership with Warner Bros. Consumer Products and DC Entertainment. The series is expected to visit five California cities, starting with Sacramento on September 22 before traveling to Oakland, San Jose, Los Angeles and San Diego. All races will offer 5K and 10K distance options for race participants and will feature music and other entertainment along the routes. Race registration ($59-$69 for the 5K, $79-$89 for the 10K) includes a Wonder Woman-themed racing kit in addition to traditional racing bibs and finisher’s medals.
“Wonder Woman is one of the most iconic and well-loved Super Heroes of all time,” SON Events representative Mark Knutson said in an official press release. “We’re excited to give fans a new and unique event by providing an inviting, fun and empowering experience where people can enjoy a great course and bond with other fans while being active.”
