Knowing Your Watch
While it sounds obvious, really spend some time and learn how to use your running watch. I just found out the other day that half of my high school athletes don’t know how to use all the features on their watch. Knowing how to use the “lap” function and “time intervals” among other features can be great tools as you do your next workout. With your watch as your assistant, you can spend your mental energy staying focused on your positive mantra (“I got this!”) rather than doing math to figure out your times.
