A day in the life of Kara Goucher begins with a 9am track workout.

Back in August 2014, Editor-in-Chief Jessie Sebor spent time with Kara Goucher to capture a day in her life as an elite runner. The experience was documented for our new web series.

In episode one, Kara starts her day on the track with coach Heather Burroughs at the University of Colorado. Although she is primarily training for the marathon, this workout was focused on shorter sprints. Watch as Kara completes her workout and explains why speed is important, even for marathoners.
